Blockchain Technology
What is blockchain?
"Blockchain is a single version of the truth, made possible by an immutable and secure time-stamped ledger, copies of which are held by multiple parties" (Wilson, 2017). It shifts trust from an entity to software.
Currently used by IBM, Microsoft, Walmart, JPMorgan, Chase, Nasdaq, Foxconn, Maersk, and Visa.
UPSHOT: Only one version of a certificate can exist.
